This plane was seriously fast and loud. I was very close on the West side of the runway when this jet took off and ripped by a few times not very far over the runway. After it passed it would go straight up like a rocket. I recorded this in the late s at the Boeing airplane plant in Renton Washington.

I think they only make s there now. I was granted exclusive access to record sounds for a corporate video and was lucky enough to be there during lunch break. I was able to get the microphone close up on some automated wing drilling and riveting machines. They also started up the huge paint drying room turbine for me which was 3 floors under the building. I also recorded the ambience from a catwalk high above the assembly line. This is a FREE sound effect. The weather changed on a dime this week, one minute it was sunny and the next hail and rain stormed through.

I recorded this downpour on my deck during a hail storm which then gave way to some heavy rain. The sound is mostly the drips hitting the wood deck.

I used the microphone on a long boom pole and stood under some beautiful fir trees I have on my property. He played around with a tennis ball today and I had my MKH microphone out and recorded some barks and growls along with him attacking and chomping the tennis ball. Then there is the normal speed and a short tennis ball chomping session. This is a mono Bit 96kHz MKH recording of drips off my roof into snow and ice holes drilled by the drips over time. It was a very quiet evening and the rain had just stopped.

There was no synthesis applied juts pitch change, transient enhancement, compression and some substantial hard limiting. The shell has 3 small steel slugs with wires attached and twirls through the air when shot. The other sounds are from a 22 caliber bullet hitting a huge rock face and last but not least a custom Mauser rifle shot from the very edge of the cliff and has a really nice long echo tail.

I did add some Compression and L2 limiting to bring out the beautiful mountain reverb tail and if you listen closely you can hear the bullet hit a rock very far away 2.
