Not many bands could carry off the ballads. I guess I am just a little partial to the 70s southern ballad allman Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd that I got used to listening to so when Motley Crue came out with Home Sweet Home and Quiet Riot came out with the ode to Randy Rhodes, Thunderbird, I was in my angsty, punky youth and just not my musical ears were just not having it.
